I have loved all animals since I was little but I was always especially drawn to and fascinated by horses. I started formal riding lessons at 9 years old at a local riding school and haven't looked back since. In 2008 I was fortunate to cross paths with my once in a lifetime horse, Peter, a KWPN gelding and together we went through the levels in eventing, dressage and show jumping.

      In 2010, I started my own horse boarding and training business out of my family's farm in Carnation, WA. My passion was working with young horses and off the track Thoroughbreds to help them feel calm and confident within themselves and building a strong foundation in order to thrive in whatever job they preferred. I absolutely loved helping people develop a deeper connection with their horses. While I enjoyed teaching and training both the horses' and their people I found myself bumping up against the mainstream horse training practices. This started to create friction with my values and deep feelings about the horses. I knew there had to be a better way, and in 2019 I officially closed the doors on my training business for the public.

    Next on my journey, I traveled to Europe and again was fortunate to cross paths with 2 special dressage bred horses that made their way back home with me. In the process of re-starting the horses under saddle, I went down a rabbit hole of discovery and a deepening of my belief of connection based horsemanship. I learned to trust what felt aligned and to let go of what didn't and allowed the horses to show me the way. In looking at the science behind the horse and human brain and nervous system, it gave me an understanding of why what the horses were showing me was working. 

     Peter, now 20 years old began to have some undiagnosed health issues and we did all the tests but couldn't find any answers. In a desperate search for help I reached out to animal communicator, Shayleigh Evans. At the time she wasn't taking new clients and was allowing the animals that needed her to find their way, so I told Peter if he needs to tell me something to let her know. About a month later I happen to see a post on her social media about a bay horse with a thin stripe that keeps reaching out to her. I knew instantly it was Pete and we set up a session. I made some changes based on what he said he needed and he's never looked better. During this time, I was received a book by Dr. Susan Fay called Scared Spaces and it wasn't until reading this book I realized I had been receiving messages from the horses all along. As I started to pay attention, the more the messages started coming through. I completed an animal communication course by Shayleigh which deepened my ability to connect and trust what I was getting from the animals.

    What started as 1 horse, has now grown to a lovely herd of 10 horses. A now retired lesson horse and pony, 5 Thoroughbreds, and 3 warmbloods. 

 

I feel like I have found my gift and true purpose in sharing the animals messages and guidance with their people.
